FAQ Before Booking A Consultation

Are you ready to speak with an accountant? We’re glad you’ve made the decision to take the next step regarding your business.

We have put together some commonly asked questions to give you more information about accounting queries and the consult scheduling process:

Q: How does booking a consultation online work?

First Accounts offers the ability to book online 24/7. Below is a calendar based on availability which will open a secure link where you will be prompted for payment. Once payment is received, you will then receive an email confirmation with a First Accounts Chartered Accountant. The calendar is based on availability, however we typically are able to accommodate consultations in the next business day after payment.

Q: Is there any alternative way to make a consult payment?

No – this is the fastest and most efficient way of paying for and getting advice.

Q: So I booked a consultation. What’s next?

After scheduling a time and date (below), you will receive an email from First Accounts confirming your booking with the date and time of the consultation.

Next, a First Accounts Chartered Accountant may be in touch with you via email to request additional information if necessary.

You will be asked to send any relevant documents to a secure email address which will be provided.

We will also receive a text message from us an hour before the meeting starts.

Q: What should I expect during the consultation?

During your consultation the chartered accountant will go step by step with you through your accounting query and give you practical advice on how to proceed.

They will review your queries, answer any questions you may have, discuss the merits of your queries, and advise you the realistic probable result.

Then they will present you with options on how best to proceed and what your suggested plan of action should be.

Q: Can I select which accountant I want to consult with?

Yes, you can request a specific accountant when speaking with a Client Relations Associate.

However, our Client Relations Associates are trained to connect you with the appropriate accountant. We will make sure that you speak with the accountant that is right for you and your accounting matter.

Q: Are consultations done in person, over the phone or online?

Consultations can either be on the phone or using Zoom/Google Meets.

If you choose to do a video consultation, we will set up a time for you to meet with your accountant via a secure link.

Be sure to keep the invite link available and connect in advance of the consultation, as you will use it to join the call when your meeting is scheduled.

Otherwise, we will call you at the prescribed time.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule your consultation for any reason, please contact the office at least 24 hours in advance by writing to .

Refunds for cancelled sessions will be given if at least 24 hours notice is given (less applicable transaction fees).

If you do not present for the online consultation, no refund is given.
