Welcome to Ireland’s “go-to” accountants for startups and founders.

First Accounts stays ahead of the game and has over 10 years chartered experience.

We specialise in helping startups not only realise their reporting responsibilities, but also go beyond that and send their business in the right direction. We do this by analysing their accounts getting funding wherever possible.

There are some accountants who are cheaper than us but lack quality, speed and a good customer experience.

Get it done right the first time!

VAT registration is mandatory if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • Selling more than €37,500 in services within a 12 month period
  • Selling more than €75,000 in goods within a 12 month period
  • In receipt of goods from the other EU Member States over the value of €41,000 (Intra-Community Acquisitions or “ICAs”)
  • In receipt of any services from outside of Ireland. If you receive services from outside Ireland and the service is being used in Ireland, your business may need to register for VAT.

You can also choose to voluntary register for VAT.

You’ll need to file bi-monthly VAT returns to Revenue – but you can claim VAT on expenses.
